Each entry is its own record
The contents and costs are written once, when the order is placed. The status line and the tracking number are the parts that move afterwards - everything else reads as it was recorded.
Status names what happened
A status records a state the order has actually reached, never one we expect it to reach. Teal is reserved for confirmed-good states - paid, shipped or delivered. Amber marks an order still waiting on its transfer. Red marks an entry that closed without completing: cancelled, refunded or expired.
Tracking follows the parcel
A tracking number is written to an entry when a shipping label is issued for it. The shipped notice comes later, on the carrier’s first physical scan of the parcel - a label purchase alone is never announced as a shipment.
