IMPORTANT: All products sold by Catharos Labs are strictly for IN VITRO research and laboratory use only. They are NOT intended for human or veterinary consumption, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease or condition.
This covenant is a condition of sale. Catharos Ventures LLC sells the materials listed on catharoslabs.com only to a purchaser who makes the representations set out below, and would not otherwise sell them. The purchaser accepts this covenant at checkout, and it is incorporated into the Terms of Sale & Service.
1. What These Products Are
The materials sold on catharoslabs.com are synthetic chemical substances supplied as sealed, labelled units for in vitro laboratory research. Each unit is described by catalog number, molecular class, physical form, mass, appearance, storage temperature, and whatever lot documentation exists for that unit. That description is the whole of what Catharos Ventures LLC represents about the material.
Research use only carries the meaning given to it under the regulations of the United States Food and Drug Administration. It is not a definition Catharos Ventures LLC has written for itself, and the purchaser does not acquire a broader permission by reading it that way.
The materials are supplied as chemical inventory and nothing further. The receiving laboratory determines solvent, volume, and working concentration under its own validated protocol. Catharos Ventures LLC neither publishes nor advises on those determinations.
2. What These Products Are Not
The materials sold on catharoslabs.com are none of the following, and are sold on the representation that the purchaser does not treat them as any of the following.
- Not a drug, and not an approved drug. No material sold here holds an approved application, clearance, licence, registration, or any other authorisation from any regulator for use in humans or in animals.
- Not a dietary supplement, not a food, not a food ingredient, and not a beverage ingredient.
- Not a cosmetic and not a personal care product.
- Not a medical device and not an in vitro diagnostic product.
- Not a veterinary product of any kind.
- Not for human consumption, administration, or application, by any means.
- Not for veterinary consumption, administration, or application, by any means.
- Not for in vivo use, ex vivo use, or use in any clinical or diagnostic procedure.
- Not compounded, not dispensed, not prescribed, and not supplied against any prescription.
- Not sterile, not certified for any particular use, and not tested for safety or efficacy in humans or in animals.
- Not validated for any application. No material has been evaluated for fitness for any purpose the purchaser may have in mind.
Catharos Ventures LLC is a chemical supplier. It is not a pharmacy, not a compounding pharmacy under section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, not an outsourcing facility under section 503B, and not a drug manufacturer. It holds no pharmacy licence, employs no prescriber, and fills no prescriptions.
Nothing on catharoslabs.com states or implies that Catharos Ventures LLC, its site, or any material it sells is approved, cleared, registered, licensed, or endorsed by any regulator. Nothing here is a statement of law about what the purchaser may lawfully possess, receive, or do in the purchaser's own jurisdiction. Where Catharos Ventures LLC will not ship a material to a destination, the Shipping Policy says so directly, and that statement is a shipping decision rather than a legal conclusion about the purchaser.
3. Changes to This Covenant
Catharos Ventures LLC may revise this covenant. A revision applies only to orders placed after it takes effect. An order is governed by the version of this covenant whose hash was recorded with that order, and a later revision does not alter what was agreed on an earlier order. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.
4. Acceptance and Record
The purchaser accepts this covenant at checkout. Acceptance is captured as three separate confirmations, each ticked on its own: that the purchaser meets the minimum age of 21, that the material is for in vitro laboratory research only, and that the purchaser agrees to the Terms of Sale & Service and to this covenant. The Checkout Attestation links to this document at the moment those confirmations are made.
The three confirmations are stored with the order, together with a SHA-256 hash of the exact text of this document as it stood when it was linked. An order whose three confirmations are not all affirmative is refused by the server and cannot be placed. The record is retained for seven (7) years, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
That record, rather than any later account of it, is what the purchaser agreed to.
5. What We Do Not Publish
The published record for a material covers identity, form, mass, appearance, storage conditions, price, availability, and any lot documentation that exists. There is no further published material.
The following are not published on catharoslabs.com, in any channel Catharos Ventures LLC controls, and are not supplied on request:
- Preparation, reconstitution, or dissolution steps, including solvent selection and diluent selection.
- Quantities, concentrations, ratios, or any figure describing an amount to be used.
- Routes, schedules, durations, frequencies, or sequences of use.
- Combinations of one material with another.
- Equipment, technique, or bench-practice guidance of any kind.
- Summaries, descriptions, abstracts, citations, or characterisations of any study or literature involving any material sold here.
- Any account of what a material does, how it acts, what it was developed for, or where it has been used.
A request of that kind is declined rather than answered. Support staff at hello@catharoslabs.com will confirm the identity, form, mass, appearance, storage conditions, availability, and shipping status of an order, and will decline the rest without exception. A decline is not an oversight and is not escalated on request.
Solvent, volume, and working concentration belong to the receiving laboratory under its own validated protocol.
6. Your Obligations as a Purchaser
The purchaser makes the following representations and warranties, each of which Catharos Ventures LLC relies on in agreeing to the sale.
Identity and capacity. The purchaser is at least 21 years of age. The purchaser is acquiring the material for in vitro laboratory research and for no other purpose. Where the purchaser buys on behalf of an institution, the purchaser has authority to bind that institution to this covenant.
Qualified personnel and safety data. The material will be handled only by personnel trained in the safe handling of laboratory chemicals, under the purchaser's own validated protocol and its own institutional oversight, and in a facility appropriate to that handling. The purchaser affirms that it is willing and able to obtain a safety data sheet for the material by writing to hello@catharoslabs.com, and that it will do so before handling the material.
Own hazard assessment and duty to warn. The purchaser has made its own assessment of the hazards presented by the use it intends, and does not rely on Catharos Ventures LLC for that assessment. The purchaser will warn its own personnel, and any person to whom it transfers the material or anything derived from it, of those hazards.
No prohibited use, no prohibited transfer. The purchaser will not use the material, and will not resell, distribute, donate, or otherwise transfer it to any person who the purchaser has reason to believe will use it, for any use listed in the section on what these products are not. A transfer to a third party carries this covenant with it, and the purchaser is responsible for imposing it.
Compliance. The purchaser is responsible for compliance with the laws, regulations, and institutional rules that apply to it in its own jurisdiction, including those governing importation, possession, handling, and disposal.
A false representation is a material breach of this covenant. Catharos Ventures LLC may then void and refund the order, cancel any unshipped order, suspend or close any account associated with the purchaser, and refuse the purchaser's future orders. Those remedies sit alongside every other remedy available to Catharos Ventures LLC.
7. Statutory Notice
These products are supplied for in vitro research use only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate any disease or condition. They are not for human or veterinary consumption.
